Our First EduCare Cohort Starts This September

Gifted Paths Foundation personally sponsors its first ten EduCare children — five staying in school, five returning. Fees paid directly to schools. No cash changed hands. This is how GPF begins.
This September, the first children sponsored through EduCare return to the classroom; fees paid, uniforms ready, futures unblocked. Here is what that milestone means.
Where it begins
For ten children in Iyana Yesi, Ota, Ogun State, the new school term will not end the way the last one did, with a quiet exit and an uncertain future.
Five of them are still in school. Just. Their families have been holding on, term by term, naira by naira. Without intervention this September, they would not return.
Five more already left. They dropped out quietly, the way these things happen and went back to whatever a child does when school is no longer an option. Staying home. Helping at home. Waiting.
This September, all ten come back.
Their barrier was never ability. It was always money.
How it happened
There is no founding donor behind this first cohort.
GPF's founder, Miriam Ajayi, personally sponsored every child. Every fee was paid directly to the school from her own pocket. No grant. No external funding. No waiting for someone else to believe first.
She believed first.
Every naira went directly to the school. No cash changed hands. Every transaction is documented. Each child's progress will be tracked each term, and every future sponsor will receive a written update.
This is what clearing a path looks like in practice, not just in words.
You can be next
Miriam funded the first cohort. She cannot fund all of them alone and she should not have to.
If you believe that a child's brilliance should never be blocked by a school fee, here is what you can do today:
Sponsor a child from ₦18,000 per term. Fees go directly to the school. No cash changes hands. You receive a written update on your child's progress every term.
Or refer a child who has already dropped out. You do not need to be a teacher. If you know a child in our catchment area who should be in school, tell us. We will take it from there.
The gifts are always real. The paths just need clearing. 🌿
