EduCare operates through two distinct streams. The first keeps children in school before they are lost. The second brings back the ones who already are. Both serve the same child — gifted, overlooked, and deserving of every opportunity their talent has already earned them.
EduCare: Stay
We keep them in.
For children who are still enrolled but whose families cannot afford next term's fees. Without intervention, they will not return. With GPF, they do. Beneficiaries are identified through teacher nomination — not parent application. Fees are paid directly to the school. Uniforms and textbooks are provided. Every child is tracked each term, and donors receive a written progress report.

EduCare: Return
We bring them back.
For children who have already dropped out. Found in communities, on streets, in homes — identified by our team and community partners. These are children who were performing, who were capable, who wanted to stay. Life intervened. GPF shows up. The return process involves community identification, a structured assessment, family engagement, school placement, and full support for re-enrolment.

EduCare is not a general fund. It is a structured, individual sponsorship programme with clear processes from school verification to termly monitoring. This operational rigour is what separates us from an emotional campaign.
We work only with verified partner schools. The school head must sign the intake form, confirming the school is legitimate and the nomination genuine. We do not accept unverified referrals.
Each nominated child's family situation is assessed against defined criteria: income level, household composition, stability of living situation, and genuine dropout risk.
Stream 1: beneficiaries are identified by their teachers — not by parental application. Stream 2: out-of-school children are referred by a community member, teacher, pastor, or mobiliser. Both methods protect the integrity of selection.
Every nomination is scored: Academic potential (30pts) + Financial need (30pts) + Attitude to learning (20pts) + Dropout risk (20pts). Selection is evidence-based, not emotional.
All fees are paid directly to the school's bank account. No cash changes hands. Uniforms and textbooks are purchased directly or reimbursed on receipts. Every transaction is documented.
Every sponsored child's academic progress is tracked each term. Donors receive a written update. Children are supported through the full programme cycle — not abandoned after one term.
How a child
gets sponsored.
Teacher nominates a child using the GPF Intake Form. School head counter-signs. Form submitted to GPF.
GPF reviews the nomination against the scoring rubric. Additional verification carried out where needed.
Family is privately notified. Child is not told until confirmation is complete. That moment belongs to them.
Fees paid directly to school account. Uniforms and books purchased. Receipts filed. Donor notified.
Academic progress tracked each term. Written donor report issued. Child supported through completion.

Stream 1 — Stay
Children at dropout risk
- Academically strong — consistent performance despite difficult circumstances
- Financially vulnerable — family genuinely cannot pay fees
- Teacher-nominated — identification comes from the classroom, not a parent application
- Currently enrolled — but will not return without intervention
Stream 2 — Return
Children already out of school
- Previously performing — showed academic ability before dropping out
- Out of school for any reason — fees, family crisis, illness, relocation
- Family willing to re-enrol — parent or guardian supports the return
- Community-referred — identified by a teacher, mobiliser, pastor, or neighbour
- Primary through SS3 — any level considered

Know a child who has already left?
You do not need to be a teacher to refer a child for Stream 2. If you know a child in your community who has dropped out of school — a neighbour's child, a church member's child, a child you see every day who should be in a classroom — you can refer them. Download the Back to School Intake Form, complete what you know, and submit it to us. We will take it from there.
GPF reviews the form within 5 working days and contacts the referrer.
GPF team or community mobiliser visits the family — with warmth, not as an inspection.
Child's academic history, current situation, and family readiness assessed using the 100-point rubric.
School identified and confirmed. Catch-up assessment completed where needed.
Fees paid. Uniform and books provided. Child returns. Attendance tracked weekly in first term.
